YOUR PERSONAL COMMISSION

Every work
begins with a conversation.

You do not need to choose a style at the outset.
Tell us what you most want to keep.

Find the right way to create your work.

We consider the image, finish and budget together.

Fully hand-painted oil painting

Painted by hand, using brushwork, colour and layers to express people and stories.

Partially hand-finished oil painting

A printed base with selected areas painted and textured by hand. The extent of handwork and surface effects are agreed for each work.

Both methods require a review of the photographs and composition. Share a work you like, and we can discuss a suitable approach.

These photographs were taken under different lighting, which affects colour and reflections. Enlarge them to explore the brushwork; the finish is discussed for each commission.

Consider size, budget and dates together.

You do not need everything ready to enquire. One photograph or an idea is enough to begin.

Size and placement
Share the intended location, wall width or a room photograph, so we can consider size and viewing distance. If the location is undecided, we can begin with the image.
How we quote
The method, dimensions, number of people, composition, frame and techniques inform the quotation. Sharing your budget and currency helps us suggest a direction. The amount is confirmed before commissioning.
Production and delivery dates
Please share your desired arrival date and destination first. We assess production and delivery before confirming whether a requested date is possible.
Approvals and revisions
Tell us which details you would like to keep or change. Composition, approval methods, revision scope and any extra fees are agreed before commissioning.
What is included
Below are examples combining a painting, artwork book, certificate and plaque. Confirm included items, framing, packaging and delivery fees in your quotation. Design-study images are references.

YOUR STORY, IN THREE STEPS

Together, we turn an idea
into a work that can be made.

Not every photograph suits every style. JIYI assesses the photograph, the heart of the story and practical production possibilities to suggest a suitable direction.

  1. 01

    Share photographs and a story

Send a photograph and tell us who it is for, what you wish to commemorate and when you hope to receive it.

  2. 02

    Agree on the work together

Review photographs, style and feasibility, then confirm dimensions, framing, method, quotation and schedule.

  3. 03

    Painting and delivery

We create the agreed work and prepare the artwork book, certificate and personal message. Revision and delivery arrangements are explained before commissioning.

Before you begin.

Can I commission from a phone photograph?

Please send the original phone photograph for assessment, ideally with clear faces, expressions or pet outlines. Resolution, lighting and the requested size affect the detail we can retain. We review the photograph before confirming suitability for a style.

Can people from different photographs appear together?

Send the photographs and explain who should appear together and their relationships and positions. We assess pose, lighting, likeness and composition; not every combination is suitable. See this example of combining a person and motorcycle from two photographs. Combining several people needs a separate discussion.

Can the background be changed?

Tell us what to retain or change. We establish the person's likeness and the story's focus before assessing composition. For example, this family portrait interpretation turns an interior into warm brushwork. Your background and details are discussed in relation to the photographs and dimensions.

Can I request an artistic style?

Choose works you like, or explore artistic directions to compare proportions, colour and composition. Not every photograph suits every style; we consider the image, story and practical production possibilities together.

How do fully hand-painted and partially hand-finished works differ?

Fully hand-painted works are painted by hand throughout. Partially hand-finished works combine a printed base with selected hand-painted and textured areas. We discuss the photograph, desired effect and budget, and specify the method in the quotation.

How are prices calculated, and how do I choose a size?

Dimensions, people, composition, method, special techniques and framing affect the price. Share your budget, intended location and wall dimensions. Prices, sizes and included items are confirmed individually; a size shown on a work page is not a standard for every commission.

How long does it take? Can it arrive for a special date?

Production takes approximately 21–30 days. If you have a birthday, wedding or other gift date in mind, let us know when enquiring so we can confirm the delivery schedule.

Can I review the result before completion and request changes?

Before production, we agree on likeness, composition, colour, size and frame, and explain the stages and scope for revisions. Ask during assessment about reviewing the result so we can explain the available approval method. The number, timing and cost of changes must be agreed before commissioning.

Can you ship outside Taiwan?

Tell us the country or region, intended dimensions and desired arrival date. Availability, packaging, fees and transit time must be confirmed for the destination and artwork before arrangements can be made.

Which occasions suit a commissioned artwork?

Begin with Wedding wishes、an anniversary together、Birthday memories, or a business opening, new home, promotion or retirement. Think about who it is for and the relationship you wish to keep, then explore Gift inspiration to find a fitting direction.

How do I enquire and confirm a commission?

Contact us through JIYI's official Instagram, or email jiyitaiwan@gmail.com with photographs, the people and moments you wish to remember, your budget and gift date. Production follows once dimensions, method, frame, quotation, schedule and included items have been agreed.

How is the work packaged and cared for?

Share the destination and intended display location. We explain packaging, delivery and fees, and provide care guidance for the actual medium and framing. Included paintings, books, certificates and plaques are listed in your agreed package.

From artwork to story, from collecting to a personal message.
Four parts, centred on a work that belongs to you.

Before It Was Seen: The figure sits among fragments, symbols and unfinished paths, as if still imagining a world. Geometric planes recompose the scene of sorting and collecting; golden lines connect time, effort and the memories held by objects.

From first enquiry to preparing your story.

One photograph or an idea is enough to enquire. Once the direction and included items are confirmed, gather photographs and messages for the artwork book.

01

Choose a direction you love

Choose a feeling you like from previous JIYI works, or describe the image you have in mind.

02

One main photograph, or an idea

Choose the moment you most want to keep. Without a complete photograph, a written idea can be a starting point.

03

Add story photographs once the book is confirmed

If your package includes a personal artwork book, prepare three story photographs to add people, relationships, places and memories. They are not required at the first enquiry.

04

Leave a personal message

Write the recipient, the words you most want to say, your signature and the year. The work may also be a gift to yourself.
